Help with all aspects of planning

The work of our Sheffield based planning practice covers the whole range of planning development projects, regardless of scale, from the feasibility and pre-application stage onwards.

We are experienced in advising clients at the earliest stage whether projects are feasible from a planning perspective. We do not charge for an initial site visit or discussion with a client. In some cases we can give a relatively firm view based on preliminary information of the development potential and the likely outcome of the planning process.
To briefly summarise, our work involves helping clients in many different aspects of planning.

Here are just some examples of how we can help.

  1. Feasibility and pre-planning application advice.
  2. Risk analysis.
  3. Planning applications.
  4. Planning appeals.
  5. Planning enforcement advice and appeals.
  6. Planning development appraisals.
  7. Represenations on local plans.
  8. Third party representations.
  9. Lawful Develpment Certificates.
  10. Neighbourhood Planning.

Our thorough awareness of planning policies and the legal background to their implementation allows us to provide considered advice and if necessary, negotiate robustly on behalf of clients. We can advise individuals and community groups how to participate in the planning process either to object or support a proposal. Robert Bryan also has particular expertise in neighbourhood planning and is on the independent examiners list as recommended by the RICS and RTPI. We have guided two community groups in the preparation of neighbourhood plans.

The following is an indication of the typical type of planning projects we engage in. It is by no means exhaustive. If you need help with planning issues of any type, please get in touch and we will endeavour to help.:
